Clare was one of just two individuals to receive a Highly Commended distinction from the judges, alongside Laura Burley of Xero.

Clue Software is proud to share that our CEO, Clare Elford, has received a rare Highly Commended accolade at the 2026 techUK President’s Awards.

Presented during the techUK Annual Dinner, the President’s Awards recognise individuals using technology to create meaningful, measurable impact across people, society, the economy and the planet. This year’s awards attracted more than 70 nominations, with just 12 individuals shortlisted across four categories.

Clare was shortlisted for the Society Award, which celebrates those using technology to deliver positive societal impact. Following the judging process, the panel took the unusual step of awarding two Highly Commended distinctions in recognition of exceptional contributions.

In announcing the accolade, techUK recognised Clare’s outstanding leadership and commitment to using technology to protect society from harm.

Under Clare’s leadership, Clue Software helps organisations across the public, private and non-profit sectors turn information into actionable intelligence, supporting efforts to prevent harm, safeguard vulnerable people, tackle economic crime and corruption, and protect the integrity of sport. The recognition reflects not only Clare’s leadership, but also the dedication of the wider Clue team and the impact delivered by Clue customers every day.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, finalists and fellow nominees, including fellow Highly Commended recipient Laura Burley of Xero. We are proud to be recognised alongside so many inspiring individuals whose work demonstrates the positive role technology can play in society.

We would also like to thank techUK, the judging panel and everyone involved in the President’s Awards for shining a spotlight on the people using technology to create meaningful impact.

The techUK President’s Awards recognise individuals whose work delivers impact across four categories: People, Society, Economy and Planet. The awards were presented at the 2026 techUK Annual Dinner in London.
